Blunders Made by World Heads of State Believing No One Is Listening
Recently, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto thought he was having a confidential discussion with American leader Donald Trump at the Gaza peace summit in Egypt.
Instead, a live microphone situation revealed Prabowo requesting Trump to arrange a call with his son Eric, who serve as executives at the family business.
This was just one in a series of gaffes made by international figures when they assume they're off the record.
Below are five other memorable errors:
Organ Transplants and Everlasting Life
During a defense ceremony in Beijing this September, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russia's head Vladimir Putin were overheard talking about organ transplants as a approach for extending lifespan.
"Human organs can be continuously replaced. The more you extend your life, the more youthful you get, and you can even achieve immortality," the Russian translator was heard saying.
Xi, who was not visible, responded in Chinese: "Experts forecast that in this century people may live to 150 years old."

'Sea Rising at Your Door'
Ex-Australia border protection chief Peter Dutton came under fire in 2015 when he made light about the situation of residents in the Pacific facing rising sea levels.
Dutton was speaking to then-prime minister Tony Abbott, who had recently come back from climate change talks with Pacific Island leaders in Port Moresby.
Noting that a migration discussion was running on "delayed schedule", Abbott replied: "We had a similar situation up in Port Moresby."
Dutton commented: "Schedules become irrelevant when you're about to have the ocean reaching your home."
These remarks provoked anger from regional nations and climate activists, while the political opponents called for Dutton to apologise.

'Prejudiced Voter'
While serving as UK PM Gordon Brown was campaigning in 2010, he faced a voter who challenged him on migration and the economy.
Remaining connected to a broadcast microphone when he got into his vehicle, Brown was heard saying: "That went terribly – they should not have placed me with that individual. Whose idea was that? Ridiculous."
When questioned about she had said, he answered: "All topics, she was just a bigoted woman."
This incident received extensive coverage for weeks and Brown ultimately lost the political race.
'I Can't Stand Netanyahu. He Lies.'
Ex-American leader Barack Obama was in discussion at the G20 summit in Cannes in 2011 with France's leader Nicolas Sarkozy when their remarks about Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu were captured by a active recording device.
Sarkozy said: "I cannot bear Netanyahu. He deceives."
Per a version from a French interpreter quoted by Reuters, Obama responded: "You're fed up with him but I must work with him frequently than you."
'Major League ***hole'
A vintage hot-mic moment from then US presidential candidate George W. Bush occurred when he made a disparaging remark about a journalist from The New York Times.
The Republican presidential nominee was didn't realize that a recording device was active when he leaned over to Dick Cheney at a Labor Day rally and said, "That's Adam Clymer, major league asshole from the New York Times."
Cheney answered: "Oh yeah, he is, big time."
